当地时间11月17日下午4点14分，菲律宾西达沃省发生6.8级(最初报告为7.2级)强震。达沃大都会区震感明显，而震央附近地区摇晃时长近一分钟。
此次震中位于北纬5.37度，东经125.15度，震源深度10公里。将军市录得八级震感，达沃市录得四级震感。
据悉，一对夫妇被发现压死在将军市附近一家木材厂外的混凝土墙下。
