在新冠肺炎感染病例不断增加的情况下，菲律宾移民局下令尼诺·阿基诺国际机场(NAIA)官员临时休假禁令的将延长至1月31日，以最大限度地保障机场移民官员的数量。
菲移民局港口运营主任卡普隆(CarlosCapulong)表示，这一命令于12月16日生效，本应于1月15日到期。
他补充道：“由于过去几天在机场感染新冠肺炎的移民局官员人数不断增加，当局决定延长该命令两周的时间。此举也是为了确保机场移民局业务不受任何阻碍。”
该命令称，在此期间，该机构不会受理或批准任何请假申请，所有提交的请假申请将被取消，以确保移民局有足够的人员来为旅客服务。
