当地时间6月24日下午，菲律宾马拉汶市(Malabon)监狱发生“监狱暴乱”事件，囚犯抗议两名“大佬囚犯”被转移至其他设施。
囚犯甚至向监狱外扔椅子等物品，并打破监狱大楼的玻璃窗户。此外，社交媒体上流传的照片显示，囚犯举着“米饭含有米虫”、“监狱系统腐烂”、“饥饿的囚犯”、“典狱长下台”等标语。
马拉汶市副市长BernardodelaCruz在事件发生后赶往监狱，并协助安抚囚犯。
