当地时间12月10日，菲律宾首都区加洛干市(Caloocan)BagongBarrio区一家塑料吸管厂发生大火，造成8人受轻伤。
根据工厂秘书ElviraSolano称，火灾是从工人们居住的其中一个房间开始蔓延的。
她补充道：“当时一对母子/女出门买菜，她们可能忘了拔掉充电器，随后就冒烟并引发火灾。”
消防局表示，伤者当时试图扑灭大火，因此受了轻伤，其中包括皮肤轻微烧伤，但都立即得到了救治。
大火始于9点左右，由于火灾面积受控因此至宣布了一级火警，并于10点37分宣布扑灭大火。
消防局仍在调查火灾起因以及损失金额。
