泰国国家传染病委员会疾病控制中心(DDC)举行会议。泰国医学专家认为，目前对自中国入境旅客提出检测要求没有必要，但是自中国入境者仍必须出示疫苗接种证明。DDC主任称，今年泰国将接待约500万人次中国游客，赴中国的泰国旅游人数也将增加。
泰国国家传染病委员会主任SomwangDanchaivijitr表示，应研究制定非歧视性的筛查流程，此外必须获得游客和旅游企业的信任，并确保与其他国家类似规定的一致性。
之前，泰国国家旅游局表示，为迎接中国旅客做准备，泰国旅游与体育部有意提供新冠疫苗加强针，让入境旅客和旅游业者能免费接种。
