圣胡安市市长沙莫拉周二时表示，大马尼拉地区将规范化其交通违章处罚系统并允许使用电子支付。
兼任大马尼拉理事会（MMC）理事长的沙莫拉表示，该罚单系统将覆盖20项常规交通违章行为，“新系统最大的便捷之处，首先是你的驾照不会被扣押，因此无需回到违章所在地的地方政府支付罚金。此外，你也可以选择电子支付。”
他表示，大马尼拉地区各市将会整合地方现有系统与陆运署（LTO）提供的新系统来简化交易（例如罚金的支付），并访问违规机动车驾驶人相关数据作为“扣分”依据。
