在最近有关气球因涉嫌间谍活动而被击落的报道中，菲律宾当局表示有能力根据某些因素探测飞行物体。
据悉，菲律宾武装部队拥有可以探测飞行物体的空中监视雷达设备。该设备可以根据飞行物体的高度、大小和速度来检测飞行物体。
在美国击落了一个被怀疑是间谍工具的中国气球后，飞行物体最近成为新闻。
菲律宾民航局称可以探测到飞行物体，但只能探测到商用飞机所能达到的高度。
