西區警區特別職務隊人員根據線報及經深入調查後，今日（16日）下午約6時進行打擊非法賭博行動，突擊搜查堅尼地城卑路乍街一住宅大廈單位，搗破一個懷疑非法麻將賭檔，拘捕一名61歲男子，涉嫌「管理賭博場所」，以及5名介乎58至73歲男子，涉嫌「在賭博場所內賭博」，並檢獲一張電動麻將枱、兩副麻將及約3,000元賭款。6名被捕男子亦涉嫌違反《預防及控制疾病（禁止羣組聚集）規例》（第599G章)，人員將會向他們發出定額罰款告票。
