菲律宾怡郎市(Iloilo)市长特雷尼亚斯(JerryTreñas)周二表示，该市至少有9人因不干净的水源而死于肠胃炎。
特雷尼亚斯表示，当地有约400人在饮用不干净的饮用水后患上了肠胃炎。
他补充道：“很不幸，九人不幸死亡。有些人还在医院里，其他人已经康复了，婴儿和老人的状况比较严重。”
截至目前，该市29个加水站已被关闭，1万个浅水井中至少有3,000个已被检查。
