当地时间10月12日，菲律宾岷尼拉水务公司(Maynilad)宣布其服务的首都区10个城市及邻省将从10月12日至17日经历停水，这是由于用水量高于水库可提供供水量导致。
据悉，受影响的地方政府包括加洛干市(Caloocan)、马拉汶市(Malabon)、那莫沓斯市(Navotas)、描仁瑞拉市(Valenzuela)、帕赛市(Pasay)、拉斯彬迎斯市(LasPinas)、马尼拉市、马卡蒂市(Makati)、巴兰玉计市(Paranaque)以及奎松市(QuezonCity)。
