当地时间10月19日，电视节目主持人兼女演员比安卡·冈萨雷斯(BiancaGonzales)发文声称自己收到了好几个带有汉子的垃圾短信，该推文立即引起网友的注意，随后几名网友也晒出自己所收到的中文垃圾短信。
冈萨雷斯在推文中写道：“现在的垃圾短信升级了，有汉字呐！你们有收到这类垃圾短信吗？”
其他网友回复了短信截图，内容显示了汉字和两个What'sApp号码。
针对泛滥的垃圾和诈骗短信，国际电信委员会已经于九月份下令电信公司阻止或停用通过短信发送网站链接的号码。
此外，信息通信技术部表示，菲律宾正在与其他国家协调处理跨境或来自其他guojia国家的垃圾短信。
