菲卫生部坚称：现在还不是解除口罩的时候
菲律宾卫生部表示由于严重和危急的感染病例继续增加，现在“还不是放宽菲律宾戴口罩规定的适当时机”。
并且符合条件的人群中接种加强针的数量仍然很低。随着时间的推移，完全接种疫苗的人免疫力也会减弱。
卫生部发表上述言论是为了回应宿务市政府决定推进其“非强制性”佩戴口罩的行政命令。卫生部再次提醒地方政府优先考虑公共卫生，戴口罩可以降低传播病毒的机会，并保护包括老年人在内的最脆弱人群。
