菲律宾八打雁省Calaca正式升级为城市
菲律宾选举委员会周末报道称，在该地区的大多数居民投票赞成将该城镇转为城市后，八打雁省(Batangas)的卡拉卡镇(Calaca)现如今已经是城市级别。
在2022年9月3日星期六举行的公民投票中，有29,424名居民投票支持卡拉卡从城镇级别升级为城市。
根据选举委员会的记录，公民投票的投票率为56.39%，即58,881名登记选民中的33,205人，他们来自37个投票中心的123个集中选区，覆盖40个社区。
