当地时间11月3日下午1点45分，菲律宾布拉干省(Bulacan)Sta.Maria镇一家非法烟花工厂发生爆炸，导致至少10人受伤并送医治疗，其中四人重伤。
根据消防局的初步调查，当时一名工人正在厂区进行钻孔并引起了火花，由于施工人员惊慌失措，意外将钻头扔到了存放烟花的地方。
由于事发地点距离公立学校非常近，当学生们听到爆炸声后就立即逃出教室，并在操场上集合。校方随后也宣布当天以及明日停课，以检查学校设施的安全。
当局目前正在进行调查，以确定是否还有其他受影响的个人，并检查工厂的营业执照是否仍然有效，但已确定该烟花作坊没有在消防局进行备案。
