菲律宾逐步走出新冠肺炎疫情阴霾。据菲国卫生部通报，截至5月18日下午4点，菲全国新增103例新冠肺炎确诊病例。截至5月18日下午4点，菲全国现有活跃新冠肺炎病例已经降至2241例。据透露，5月17日，菲全国共有22742人接受新冠病毒检测，103人确诊。最近两周，菲首都大马尼拉地区共确诊890例新冠肺炎病例。菲律宾卫生部早前表示，老龄人和医护人员现在已经可以接种新冠肺炎疫苗第二针加强针。据笔者观察，最近几个月以来，菲律宾社会已逐步摆脱新冠肺炎疫情阴霾，民众生活及经济各方面，已回复至疫情前。菲律宾经济提速，一季度GDP同比飚增8.3%，增速东亚地区第一！
