菲律宾首都马尼拉（Manila）一处贫民区2日发生大火，几乎将拥挤违建群吞噬殆尽，消防单位花了近两小时才将大火扑灭己知造成8人丧生，包括6名孩童；另外有3人受伤及80间房舍烧毁
事发在周一清晨5时许，地点在菲律宾大学（UniversityofthePhilippines）校区内一处拥挤违建群，其中一间房舍二楼起火房子是由轻质建材搭建而成，当大火一起，大家都吓坏了。
