鉴于奧米克戎(Omicron)变种的威胁，菲律宾疫苗小组成员及传染病专家索兰特(RontgeneSolante)周日建议当局在12月下半月继续实施二级疫情警戒水平。
索兰特表示：“就我个人而言，政府有必要继续实施二级疫情警戒到年底，这样也才能让民众感到安心，并放心度过一个美好的圣诞节和新年。”
菲律宾目前尚未录得奧米克戎变种的输入和本土感染病例。
