在台风“奥德特”(Odette)造成严重破坏后，菲律宾薄荷省(Bohol)省长黄严辉(ArthurYap)周五宣布该省进入灾难状态。
黄严辉在第65号行政命令中表示，台风“奥德特”使很多家庭无家可归。省长表示，这一次的经历宛如当年台风海燕一样，就连我们的一线应急救援者，如警察、军队、减灾官员等等都成为了灾民。
薄荷岛减灾委员会办公室周六晚间表示，台风奥德特袭击薄荷岛后，当局已录得至少32人死亡，而建筑物、公共设施、政府设施和基础设施、通讯设施和电力线“严重受损”。
