菲律宾移民局(BI)周三表示，该机构在2021年共拒绝1320名外国人入境菲律宾，这一数字较2020年的3000多人下降不少。
被拒入境的外国公民中，中国人占首位(450人)，其次是越南人(261人)、美国人(159人)、英国人(33人)和以色列人(24人)。
该机构表示，机场移民官给出的拒绝入境理由包括可能无法支持在菲律宾的生活、没有适当的文件记录或已被列入菲移民局黑名单。
尽管新冠肺炎疫情持续威胁该国，菲移民局强调前线官员将继续确保只允许合法的外国公民入境。
