菲律宾总统候选人曼尼·帕奎奥(MannyPacquiao)周四在接受电台采访时表示，自己反对基本商品的进口，称政府应该进一步提高产量，使菲律宾成为一个出口国。
帕奎奥表示：“我反对政府每次遇到困难就想着是进口基本商品的做法。我希望菲律宾成为出口国，这才意味着我们资源充裕，当地供应大于市场需求。”
他补充道，政府应该支持农渔民，然而当局目前的计划并没有帮助到所有的农渔民。
