9月24日，总统府发言人洛克表示：具有5个等级的新型防疫警报系统正在大马尼拉地区实施，鉴于大马尼拉地区现行的第4级防疫警报系统9月30日即将到期，为进一步巩固防疫成果，中央政府决定该第4级防疫警报的实施将延长至下月，但会对该警报级别项下的部分具体防疫规定进行修订，以利于兼顾社区防疫和方便民众日常生活的需求。
