据柬媒消息，在金边出现“纸片房”和严重积水后，金边市政府宣布将严查所有违法和不合格的建筑物。
7月5日，金边副市长克良发与14个分区长、国土规划与建设局和相关单位官员召开会议，重点讨论3个议程：
1、各分区建筑物由土地局专业官员管理。
2、相关单位官员必须检查基础设施建设，尤其是小区里面的建筑物是否符合金边市总体规划。此外，也要检查排水沟和污水处理系统是否符合技术标准，避免雨后积水。
3、加强监督全市建筑物，避免违法和劣质建筑物。
