佩雷斯在男子个人品势项目半决赛中不幸败给中华台北选手马允中，前者获得6.910，后者得分为7.450，最终获得铜牌。
与此同时，马允中不敌韩国姜完珍，获得银牌。
2018年亚运会上，菲律宾获得4枚金牌、2枚银牌、15枚铜牌。
目前总排行中，中国位列第一，其次是韩国、日本、中华台北以及中国香港，菲律宾目前排名第13位。
